For business owners and executives
What is LifeWise Exit?
LifeWise Exit is a personal planning program for business owners preparing to sell and senior executives approaching retirement. Founded by Cindy Jennings, it covers the non-financial side of the exit: what you do, who you are, and how you spend your time once the deal closes or the role ends.
Who will I be working with?
Cindy Jennings, founder of LifeWise Exit, from start to finish. She spent eight years in management consulting across strategy, organizational change, communications and customer experience. She has spoken at the Financial Integrators Network Conference and written for NAPFA Advisor magazine.
My advisor mentioned life planning. Is this the same thing?
Close. Life planning is the industry term. LifeWise Exit goes further: a structured six-month program that ends in a written plan, not a series of conversations.
How is this different from exit planning?
Exit planning gets the business ready to sell: value, deal structure, taxes, succession. LifeWise Exit gets you ready for what comes after. Your bankers plan the deal and your wealth advisor plans the money. This is the plan for you.
Is this retirement coaching?
In part. It's one-to-one and centered on you, like coaching. The difference is the structure and the deliverable: a defined six-month process that ends in the LifeWise Blueprint, a written plan for the next chapter you can act on and share with your family and advisors.
Who is it for?
Business owners within roughly two years of a sale, and executives in the final years of their career. It works best before the transaction or retirement date, while there's still time to shape what comes next.
Why is my spouse included?
Because the exit changes their life too. A sale or retirement rewrites how a couple spends its days, where it travels, who it sees. Plans built for one person tend to stall at home.
How does it work?
Six months, one-to-one with Cindy, by video conference. The LifeWise Method moves from where you are today to a defined next chapter, and ends in your LifeWise Blueprint.

How do I bring LifeWise Exit to my clients?
Two ways.
Refer individual clients heading into a sale or retirement, or license LifeWise Masterplan firm-wide so every advisor can offer the same personal planning experience.
How is this different from life planning training for advisors?
Life planning training teaches advisors to run those conversations themselves. LifeWise Exit works with the client directly, and LifeWise Masterplan gives a firm a client-facing planning tool without certifying each advisor.
Why should an advisor care about the personal side of an exit?
An owner who can see life after the sale is more ready to sign. An owner who can't tends to stall, renegotiate or walk away. Personal planning keeps the deal, and the relationship, on track.
